We started with the messaging. Developing a new tagline isn’t always easy but the payoff is oh so good. We wanted something that would highlight SODO Urbanworks’ location and it’s local appeal.

It’s not every day you get to be super playful with your copy and design but that’s just what this one called for! SODO Urbanworks is for families, dogs and wine lovers. And honest to goodness, this location has something for everyone. In order to stand out to both locals and tourists, we had to play up the energy of the SODO experience through bright bold signage and clean, easy-to-navigate brochure information.

Website Refresh
Out with the old, in with the new. There comes a time in everyone’s online life when they take a step back and say – this isn’t really serving me anymore. For SODO, that meant we needed to take a utility site and turn it into something far more interactive and in- formative. With each winery and restaurant having their own set of events and hours, we needed something flexible, yet easy to make sense of. We found it by being clean and thoughtful with our use of pops of color.
Website Before/After
Our goal for this website redesign was to enhance the overall performance and user-experience of the website while also adding a community-centric experience to the language and photography. We toned down our color palette, using white space and pops of color for added fun, and included aspirational and lifestyle imagery to highlight the experience one might have at SODO Urbanworks.
SODO Summer Boxes
Due to the restrictions around group gatherings, we had to find a way to give people the experience of visiting SODO, with out having to risk their health. Introducing the SODO Summer Box, a full tasting room experience in the convenience of your own home! Included in every box is everything needed to enjoy including a bottle from each winery, two cans of seltzer, two wine glasses, and a custom wine key. We shipped these boxes to buyers doorsteps with the help of a small local wine delivery business who also benefitted from making connections with new wine lovers in the area!
