Barry Blanton, CPM
Barry Blanton is a Principal at Blanton Turner. Since beginning his career in 1980, Barry has become one of the most influential property management professionals in the Pacific Northwest, known for turning challenges into opportunities on a daily basis. With his down-to-earth communications approach, Blanton is a credible expert in explaining the complexities of today's property management touchstones in this new economy.

Professional Achievements and Responsibilities:
Prior to founding Blanton Turner, Barry was a partner in two real estate management companies in Eugene, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. He is a Certified Property Manager and a Principal Broker in Washington and Oregon. Barry is highly active in the industry locally as well as at the state and federal levels. He served in 2010 as the President of Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter 27 (Western Washington) and was honored by IREM Chapter 27 as CPM of the year in 2009.
Educational Background:
Barry attended the University Oregon from 1979 – 1983. While attending University of Oregon, his interest in real estate management, asset management and interpersonal communications grew with his ability to manage innovation in a transforming industry.
Heidi Turner, CPM
Heidi Turner is a Principal at Blanton Turner with more than 20 years of experience in property management. Recognized as a specialist in residential and student housing, Heidi possesses a deep understanding of new market trends and is known for helping companies plot direction accordingly. Heidi is skilled at discussing with print and broadcast journalists the complexities of residential property management.

- Easily discuss mixed use development cycles and draw upon comparisons

Professional achievements and responsibilities:
Heidi is a Certified Property Manager, and served as 2004 President of IREM Chapter 27 (Western Washington), and was awarded CPM of the Year by IREM Chapter 27 in 2005.
Educational background:
Heidi attended Vanguard University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude before earning an MBA from Seattle University. Heidi also serves as Dean of B|T University, our internal continuing education program.
Chasten Fulbright, CPM
Chasten Fulbrint is a partner at Blanton Turner. With over 10 years of experience in portfolio management and asset management, Chasten specializes in urban mixed-use housing. Chasten is known for assisting journalists in understanding the 'matchmaking' of mixed-use properties both for retail and residential.

- Expert in the field of marketing & branding strategies for lease-ups
- Driver of new technology as a management and communication tool

Professional achievements and responsibilities:
Chasten is a Certified Professional Manager and was recently elected President-Elect of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter 27 (Western Washington) for 2012-2013. He currently serves as Vice President of Finance and was Vice President of Communications in 2010. He was named CPM Candidate of the Year by IREM Chapter 27 in 2005.
Educational background:
Chasten graduated in 1999 from Northwest University located in Kirkland, WA with his Bachelors of Arts in Religion.
Krista Janes-Blackburn
Krista is a Principal at Blanton Turner specializing in commercial property management and property repositioning. Since beginning her real estate career in 1984, Krista has been involved in all aspects of commercial real estate management and development and has worked on both sides of the permit counter, formerly serving as the Economic Development Director for the City of Oak Harbor.

- Ability to speak easily about budget costs and developing a sequential process to completing projects
- Represents property owners and tenants
Professional Achievements and Responsibilities:
- Entitled and constructed Phases II, III and IV of the Barclays North campus in Lake Stevens, Washington
- Entitled and constructed over 200,000 SF of retail space and associated tenant improvements, 450 residential units and 200 residential lots
Educational Background:
Krista attended Highline Community College before transferring to Pacific Lutheran University and earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Business.
Alan Byars
Alan Byars is a Principal at Blanton Turner. Alan has 13 years of finance and accounting experience spanning several industries, with the past seven focused on real estate. Alan is known for his ability to ability to explain the broader strategy of managing real estate at an asset management level.

- Asset management for portfolios as large as $250MM.
- Ability to talk about complex projects and property financing in sound bites.
- Driver of new methods for the creation and training of custom procedures and reports
Professional Achievements and Responsibilities:
Alan was a Board Fellow with Habitat for Humanity of Seattle & South King County, and has been active in the Urban Land Institute since 2005. Alan is a licensed real estate broker in Washington state.
Educational Background:
Alan earned his BBA in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University, and his MBA with a real estate concentration from the University of Washington.
